Alison Sudol

It was a challenge to accept this feminine aspect in something I thought of as masculine. To me, it was quite difficult to tell myself, "Okay I can be beautiful, feminine and strong. Take care of yourself and not diminish myself." That was something I loved a great deal. I loved wearing heels with a dress everyday and also the silky fabric. I'm a much newer actress as everyone else Fantastic Beasts] and there was a lot of pressure going into it. However, I was struck by this odd feeling during the auditions that there was a massive force behind me; I might either be smashed under it and collapse because of how much I wanted it and the magnitude of it and then climb on top of it and let it push me up. You can spend days just walking around, exploring coffee shops, museums, and parks. In LA you are often alone, but in London it is possible to ride the Tube and find yourself within the midst of people as well as every other type of human which you can think of is passing on. I enjoy watching other people. I come from the music world, that is where you're always in the presence of males, and you're sure that there's a real intimacy constantly working alongside men. It's a surreal, wild fantasy. I've read through every book in the trilogy. I've even read a few books on tour, actually, and it's really lovely to have this kind of universe to escape to as on tour you are constantly moving from one place to another and then it's all confusing, and to go to an incredibly vivid and vibrant world when you sleep in your bunk is really quite lovely.
